World Cup glory ahead with Hungary?

As reported by the Hungarian News Agency, Szoboszlai, who shines for Liverpool and stands out as one of the team’s top performers, shared his bold plans with Sky Sports. The captain of the Hungarian national team declared his burning desire to compete in the next FIFA World Cup. The 25-year-old midfielder emphasised that he owes it to his passionate Hungarian fans.

He revealed he’d never felt sadder than when Hungary crashed out of the 2026 World Cup qualifying stage last November against Ireland. Szoboszlai also dreams of gracing the next European Championships.

Liverpool currently holds fourth place in the Premier League, boasting 10 wins, 4 draws, and 6 defeats after 20 matches. The squad gets extra Hungarian flair from footballers Milos Kerkez and Ármin Pécsi.

Szoboszlai’s skyrocketing market value, per CIES estimates, hits 90.5 million euros, landing him at 37th on the list of the world’s most expensive players. This season, he’s already scored two goals and notched a goal assist. One highlight? His strike against Arsenal in August that powered Liverpool to victory.
