The bust of prominent Azerbaijani poet and philosopher Nizami Ganjavi was inaugurated in Hungarikum park located in Lakitelek, Hungary.
Guest of the honor of the event was First Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Head of Azerbaijan-Hungary Interparliamentary Friendship Group, Ali Huseynli. Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, Sándor Lezsák, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture of Hungary, János Szentmártoni, staff members of the Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Budapest, representatives of the regional administration, local community and educational institutions, as well as Hungarian and Azerbaijanistudents attended the ceremony.
Mr Szentmártoni provided detailed information about Nizami Ganjavi’s life and creative works to the audience. He mentioned successful cultural cooperation between two countries. Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Hungary Tahir Taghizade talked about enhanced strategic partnership and brotherly relations of two countries.A. Huseynli expressed his gratitude to Lezsák for erecting Nizami Ganjavi’s bust in Hungarikum park. We wrote HERE that Hungarian Hell energy drink was to expand in Azerbaijan and HERE that Hungarian companies will help rebuild the Karabakh region.
He reminded of S. Lezsak’s visit to Baku this year and his speech in the Milli Majlis. Lezsák talked about events to be held in Hungarikum park. He highly appreciated mutually beneficial cooperation between Hungary and Azerbaijan. The official ceremony was followed with musical performance by the youth ensemble representing OTS countries. At the end of the event, participants laid wreaths and bouquets in front of the bust, took memory photos. Here are some photos:

    I watch some wonderful UT vedio channels from that country. Nice bust! Hope they don’t have some pretentious young person who is uneducated and therefore has a shit life come to deface or damage it in any way to get a photo op.
