Staggering: Budapest crowned among the top European cities for business travel

Today’s business travellers look for fast Wi-Fi, convenient accommodation, vibrant dining options, and enriching cultural experiences. Budapest has ranked among the top ten European cities for striking the perfect balance between productivity, convenience, and enjoyment.

Credit card provider for small businesses, Capital on Tap, analysed 30 European cities, ranking them on factors such as Wi-Fi speed, hotel availability, local attractions, dining and wine costs.

Key findings
- Budapest is one of the most budget-friendly cities for business travel, with average meal prices at just £42.45 and wine at £4.26 — the lowest on the list. The city offers 5,335 Wi-Fi spots and decent download speeds (238.35 Mbps), though upload speeds lag slightly. With 124 business hotels and 174 attractions, Budapest gives travellers plenty of value and culture, just a 2.5-hour flight from London.
