Orbán explained how Trump may help him before the 2026 Hungarian elections – this could be a big story!

Donald Trump, the American President, and Viktor Orbán, the Prime Minister, met in Sharm El-Sheikh on Monday at the signing ceremony of the Gaza peace process agreement. Trump then praised Orbán sky-high and announced that he would achieve a greater victory than in 2022 (which suggests about four-fifths). However, tonight the Prime Minister revealed that he will also further assist the White House leader before the 2026 elections.
Orbán will win, according to Trump
Trump believes that if he takes someone’s side, they are necessarily destined to win. For example, yesterday he stood beside Javier Milei, the Argentinian president, implying that if his South American friend loses parliamentary support in the elections on October 26, he will not give support.

He would have already brought peace to Ukraine
Orbán spoke extensively with Mandiner, the government party outlet, tonight about the Gaza peace process and Trump’s role, praising the President’s performance, while earlier Péter Szijjártó, the Foreign Minister, indicated that according to the Hungarian government, Trump would be the best recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
Orbán says the American president would have already achieved peace in Ukraine, too, if it weren’t for Ursula von der Leyen and the European Commission’s sabotage efforts, who are inciting President Zelensky of Ukraine. This completely contradicts the news reports suggesting that Trump believes Zelensky should obtain more effective weapons, which is why there is now talk about him potentially receiving Tomahawk missiles for Kyiv.

Fidesz has zero scruples. They will lie and contradict themselves and use double standards constantly. They have no honour.
In my country, which is Canada, Trump completely avoided trying to interfere in the election we had on April 28th. Everyone knew that if he tried in any way to promote the Conservative leader it would make the Conservative Party lose more votes. In Hungary there isn’t a problem with Trump promoting Orban. The political culture is completely different. In Canada Trump is viewed by most as a criminal dictator while in Hungary he is viewed as some kind of conservative champion by a very large part of the population. Orban of course has been promoting Trump to the Hungarian public for many years. Trump is the man who got away with a violent coup attempt against the democratically elected Biden government, has a long history of degrading treatment of women including sexual assault. has a long history of business fraud and has a history of Russian mafia funding for his businesses. Hungarians are among the few in this world who can view a man like that favourably.
