MLSZ’s offical page said, Hungary’s Women’s Under 17 team finished their 2017 European Championship campaign with a 2-2 draw against Poland in Bük, a result which, after wins on the opening two matchdays, sees them finish in second place on goal difference behind Poland and comfortably qualify for the Elite round phase in the springtime.
The first matchday of qualifying group 3 saw Hungary post a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Azerbaijan, Dóra Dorner scoring in each half either side of a Sára Pusztai strike, while Poland dispatched Estonia 7-0. Two more wins for the same teams followed on matchday 2, Poland defeating Azerbaijan 4-0 while Hungary eased to a 3-1 success against Estonia thanks to another goal from Dorner and two from Fanni Králik. That left both teams on six points and already through from their Main round group to the Elite phase.
