Change language:
Wizz Air is expanding its Budapest route network with a new Italian destination: starting 28 October 2025, the budget airline will operate flights to Turin three times a week. This addition brings the number of Italian cities directly reachable from Budapest via Wizz Air to nine.
The new flights will depart from the Hungarian capital to the northern Italian city near the western Alps on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, according to AIRportal.hu. Tickets are already available on the airline’s website and mobile app.
With this new addition, Turin becomes the fourth destination in northern Italy to be directly served by Wizz Air from Budapest, joining Milan, Venice, and Genoa.

Rising passenger numbers and shifting routes
Wizz emphasised in its announcement that the new route further strengthens its position as the market leader in Hungary. The airline currently offers direct flights from Budapest to 72 airports across 32 countries, making it Wizz Air’s largest hub in terms of destinations served.
In 2024, the airline transported 6.4 million passengers from Hungary, a 23% increase from the previous year. Projections for 2025 suggest as many as 8 million passengers will choose Wizz Air flights from Hungary, according to HVG.
