Ugandan minister visits Budapest! Photos

Kitutu Kimono Mary Goretti, Uganda’s State Minister for the Environment, visited Budapest on the 20th of February 2019 and was greeted by the Hungarian Trade and Cultural Center as well as the African-Hungarian Union. She came to the Hungarian capital for the 8th HTCC Africa Expo, during which she accepted the position of the event’s foreign patron.

According to HTCC, the State Minister also gave a presentation at the conference linked to the event. She talked about Africa for those who were interested to learn more about the continent. She also expressed that she was open to learning about those looking to invest in her constituency.

There are numerous reasons Uganda is a significant country in Africa. Therefore, HTCC takes commercial and cultural relations between the two countries very seriously. They organised a variety of fascinating programs for the prominent guest.

From a cultural point of view, the delegation was taken to visit Öskü in Veszprém county. Manafwa and Öskü are of similar size, so the possibility of becoming twin towns came up. The group also visited the local primary school, then the famous, about 1000-year-old rotunda in Öskü. They also had time to take a look at the innovative windmill for which the prototype was developed in the village, then they went to visit the ski slopes in Eplény, to let off some steam after a productive day.
