This is what you have to watch in service centers

According to totalcar.hu, an eleven year-old act can protect the car owners from service scams. For every maintenance above HUF 20 thousand, a six month warranty is required.
Hungarian drivers are looking for the cheapest solutions; most of them have a car worth of HUF a couple of thousand or up to 1.5 million. Some of the service shops choose illegality, working for an established customer base. Good to know that we risk a lot when we do not want any papers from the service.
In workshops without an account, there is only door warranty or not even that. It is quite common that people choose a care without being aware of the costs of a repair. For example, if there is something wrong with a diesel car, only the diagnostics of the problem could cost HUF 100 thousand. In such cases, many people go to black services where costs are lower, but there is no warranty, totalcar.hu says.
A client of DAS Legal Insurance lost a lawsuit against a service center, which is quite instructive. The person made his crashed car repair with that service, but he got a fictitious invoice and the result was also disappointing. The service center rejected the client’s compliance and he went to another place. In this situation, it was not possible to take successful legal actions.
The 2004-government regulation is not concerned with warranty repairs, but there are strict standards. If the work is more expensive than HUF 20.000, complaining is possible within 6 months, and the service shop has to prove that they did a perfect job with proper components. After the 6th month, the client has to prove that the service center made a mistake, totalcar.hu says.
