This is how Budapest is waiting for the big heat wave

According to the National Weather Service, there can be up to 36 degrees Celsius – Laszlo Torok, colleague of National Weather Service said. The Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden spokesman said the animal shelters are built to provide a proper shade even during the heat waves. In the height of summer, there are an increased number of tasks in connection with the green areas of the capital. The most important at this time is besides the irrigation of the plants, the supply of park visitors with water and the cooling of them – Krisztina Erdelyi, Fokert Ltd Head of Marketing said, according to inforadio.hu.

On Saturday afternoon, we can expect 34-35 degrees Celsius, and on Sunday, there will be even warmer, the temperatures can reach 36°C.

There will also be very warm in the capital, 33-34°C,  heat waves and beach weather are expected with a lot of sunshine at the weekend. However, it won’t take long,  because a cold front reaches our country on Monday afternoon. From next Tuesday, we can expect a much cooler weather; there will be only 20-22°C in the capital’s region – colleague of the National Weather Service said.

Precipitation can occur occasionally on Saturday and Sunday too, but it’s very hard to define where. We can expect a higher proportion of rain on Monday afternoon, at the arrival of the front – he added.

The zoo isn’t unprepared for the heat wave, since it’s their 150^th season. The animal shelters provide a proper placement even during heat waves. There are some animals which like getting additional cooling, for example the elephants which are cooled with waters from hose – Zoltan Hanga said.
