The 13th Mangalica Festival of Budapest starts this weekend!

Change language:
The 13th Mangalica Festival is happening at Szabadság Square this weekend. The event is held between 7-9 February 2020, and it is free of charge. Visitors can taste and buy some quality, locally-made Mangalica products from the many exhibitors.
Szabadság Square is going to get filled with the lovely smell of roast pork this weekend, as the annual Mangalica Festival opens its gate on 7 February. Apart from the wide variety of exhibited products, visitors can enjoy live performances of folk music and see these majestic animals as they live and breathe as a part of the live animal exhibition.
As the event’s official website, mangalicafesztival.hu, writes:
“Visitors can find on the spot whole roasted pigs and locally made Mangalica products served with the finest Hungarian wines and schnapps while listening to live music concerts. The main attraction for attendees is the high-quality goods and products. Guaranteeing the best experience, we provide live shows on the central stage all day long: authentic folk music, market comedy, gastro shows during the day, and live music in the night. On Saturday, there is a traditional kettle-made cooking contest.”
