The expression “tattoo-diet” sounds weird, doesn’t it? What does it mean and how can it be related to tattoos or diets? It feels like we missed everything, and the world has already entered a new era. But so far we didn’t turn into characters from Philip K. Dick’s novel, and everything is way simpler than it seems.
Vean Tattoo shared recommendations on how to heal a tattoo in a correct and efficient way. When we talk about a “tattoo-diet”, we don’t mean a tattoo session or a piece of salad a day. Spoilers, never do that! Don’t come to a tattoo session hungry. This is important! Tattooing itself creates enough stress for your body, and if you will be hungry during the session, most probably it will be really hard for you to sit through it all. In order for everything to go smoothly both for you and for the tattoo master, you need to be ready to do some things before the session, and, of course, after it. This is because the healing process is no less of importance than the tattooing process itself.
We are living in the world of conscious consumption. It is important to prepare your body for a transformation, especially now, when caring about your health is highly relevant.
1. Either a party, or a tattoo session.
Yes, we are talking about alcohol. Please, try to time your party in a way that it won’t end on the day of a tattoo appointment. Alcohol consumption before the tattoo session boosts blood thinning, which leads to excessive bleeding. As a result, the master will see their work worse, so the preciceness of the lines and their quality will be affected as well. Moreover, lots of blood can possibly dilute the ink, and the tattoo will turn out to be not as colourful as it was originally planned. And the cherry on top, which also serves as a full stop in the alcohol part – the healing process. Alcohol weakens our immunity system, which means that the regeneration process will slow down and will have complications. This will affect the final result of a healed work.
