Star from the Doctor House TV series comes to Budapest

Hugh Laurie, the main character in the famous TV series called Doctor House comes to Hungary to give performance with his group, The Copper Bottom Band in the Budapest Congress Center on 19th July – HVG reported.

As it is known, Hugh Laurie, the famous character from the Dr House TV series is not only an excellent actor but also a great musician who has played the piano since the age of six and regularly performs as a musician.
His first blues album called Let Them Talk was published by the Warner Bros Records in 2011. The album proved to be very successful, they sold millions of copies, and thus they gave a 6-month-long world tour with the group. During the tour they performed in the USA, South-America, Europe and they made a show in Russia as well.

His latest CD album called Didn’t It Rain appeared in summer, 2013. Several well-known songs of blues artists – such as W.C. Handy, Jelly Roll Morton or Dr. John- are included on his album. The actor-artist is going to make a concert together with his The Copper Bottom Band in Budapest in July. Hugh Laurie previously announced on his website that the blues concert will be in the László Papp Budapest Sport Arena but according to HVG the venue changed and the concert will take place in the Budapest Congress Center. It is organized by the Modern Art Orchestra as part of the Hollywood Music Festival.
