Ryanair plans expansion in the Central and Eastern European region
Ryanair sees the Central and Eastern European region as an important area for its planned expansion in the near future. The airline aims to achieve a dominant position in this zone, Alicja Wojcik-Golebiowska, Ryanair’s director for the region, told Reuters in an interview.
The company forecasts that passenger numbers will increase by at least 50 percent in the next decade in Central and Eastern Europe, which is still a less developed market, AIRportal.hu writes, based on the interview.
“We want to focus very much on this region,” Alicja Wojcik-Golebiowska told Reuters. “We see that this is going to be a large part of our upcoming expansion.”
