Restarting flights and new logistics park at Debrecen Airport!

After several months of stoppage due to the coronavirus epidemic, traffic restarted at Debrecen Airport on 16th June 2020. The first scheduled flight was Wizz Air W6 7861, which flew to Eindhoven this Tuesday. According to the airline company, this will be repeated two times a week from Debrecen to Eindhoven, while three flights can be expected on the London-Luton route.

By the end of June, the airline company will restart the following flights:

  • Debrecen – Larnaca (2x a week)
  • Debrecen – Mallorca (1x a week)
  • Debrecen – Paris-Beauvais (1x a week)
  • Debrecen – Tel Aviv (2x a week)

In the first half of July, the number of flights on the Debrecen-Luton route will increase to 4, then to 10 per week in the second half of the month, as well as more flights can be expected to Eindhoven – reported by AIRportal.

This is not the only good news for Hungary’s second-largest city. As magyarepitok.hu reports, the logistics and packaging plant to be built in Debrecen has reached its highest point.
