The 19th ARC public exhibition’s title is KLÍMARIADÓ! (climate alert). The outdoor exhibition is free to visit until mid-October in Zugló, Budapest. The jury selected the best ones from 800 different works – none of them is reassuring in terms of the future.
According to HVG, this is one of the most relevant topics concerning our lives – the effect of global warming can be observed everywhere in the world. Applicants could also choose other topics freely with the following call:
“Climate. Catastrophe? Global gallows to have us hanged together? Or something else that endangers humanity without a doubt? Share your view with us about climate change in the frames of a picture or poster.”
The jury also decided about the works of art that could appear on the exhibition in August – the best ones got “Borz” (skunk) award I. II. III. and a special award apart from those.

Marcell Puskás, a graphic artist, got the first place – his picture was inspired by a video in which animal protection activists pull out a long straw from a turtle’s nose. The caption in the top-left corner is: “it is okay, I have always wanted to be a unicorn.”
