Change language:
Winter is sure not leaving us here just yet. January’s 3rd week is going to be mainly cold and windy, but we will also experience some sunshine here and there.
As met.hu reported, wind and cold weather can be expected this week, with temperatures falling below -10 degrees Celsius in several places. However, some sunshine and snow showers may come as well.

Monday
Clouds will increase from the north, forming a thicker layer, but there may be scattered patches in smaller areas. Fog will mostly be present in the northeast and east of the country and in the southwestern counties. There might be light snowfall near the northeastern border during the second half of the night. The lowest temperature at night will be between -5 and +1 degrees Celsius. Temperatures will rise several degrees by dawn.
Tuesday
Precipitation is still possible in places in the southwest during the night into Tuesday, but there is little chance of it during the day. Instead, sunny skies are likely in most parts of the country, with occasional clouds. Initially, the wind will be stronger in many places, and then calm down in the second half of the day. Over night, temperature lows will be between -5 and 0 degrees Celsius, but it could be colder in wind-protected eastern and northeastern areas. In the early afternoon, temperatures will be between 3 and 8 degrees.
