Pope seems to agree with Orbán concerning the driving forces behind Ukraine war

Change language:
Pope Francis gave an interview to the Swiss-Italian RSI TV channel and talked about the driving forces behind the ongoing bloody war in Ukraine.
According to Világgazdaság, the Pope told the TV channel that the military conflict’s fuel is “imperial interests, not just of the Russian empire, but of empires from elsewhere”. He also expressed his readiness to sit down with President Vladimir Putin to talk about peace.
The Hungarian government has been highlighting for a long time that the responsibility for war lies on the shoulders of Russia and the West (the latter led by the United States). Therefore, a Washington-Moscow summit is needed to talk about peace. The Orbán cabinet regularly says that without US help, Ukraine would collapse. However, during that process, Europe weakens.
Foreign affairs committe chairman: Hungary, Poland goals same, approach different concerning Ukraine
Concerning the war in Ukraine Hungary and Poland see eye to eye in terms of the goals, with “differences of opinion in terms of the methods only”, Zsolt Németh, the head of parliament’s foreign affairs committee, said in Wroclaw on Friday.
In Wroclaw, Németh handed over a bust of Hungary’s King Matthias (1443-1490) to a local museum on the occasion of Hungarian-Polish Friendship Day.

Pope Francis is the only sane voice in the world, rest are speaking in double tongue and looking what they can get out of this conflict. Arms industry and construction industry are the major beneficiaries.
…And Orbán is looking at all that he can get out of headlines about him and His Holiness. He’s milking it down to the last drop.
And, by “… from elsewhere”, could His Holiness be hinting to Orbán’s thoughts about a renewed Greater Hungary, ie, one that would include Transcarpathia (as per “gift” from Putin)?
How cow! This Orbán guy must be one of the most agreeable guys in this world – pity he’s always disagreeing with the rest of the EU.
