Budapest (MTI) – The Hungarian prime minister sent his condolences to French President Francois Hollande in a telegram over the terrorist attack at a magazine’s offices in Paris.
Viktor Orban said he most resolutely condemns the attack carried out in Paris.
“Nothing can justify this ruthless attack and inhuman violence,” Orban said and expressed condolences to the families of the victims in their grief and to the French people. He wished quick recovery to those injured.
Hungary’s President Janos Ader expressed his condolences to his counterpart in a telegram.
Hungary condemns all forms of terrorism and stands firm in favour of protecting the common European values of freedom of thought, opinion and the press, Ader said. France can count on Hungary’s support in the fight against perpetrators of such vile and cowardly acts, he added.
The foreign ministry strongly condemned the terrorist attack which it said cannot be justified by anything.
Ruling Fidesz said it deeply condemns the attack.
“Any form of terrorism is unacceptable and Hungary will always stand as a partner in the fight against it,” the party said in a statement.
