Struggling to find your way around this busy Budapest railway station? Not anymore!

Large-format passenger information displays have been installed on all five platforms at Budapest’s Kelenföld railway station, the CEO of the MÁV Group announced on Facebook on Saturday.
A long-standing inconvenience for passengers
Zsolt Hegyi recalled that Kelenföld is one of Hungary’s busiest stations, with huge numbers of passengers setting off from there every day. Until now, the only information boards showing departure times, platform numbers and delays were located in the underpass. This often caused inconvenience, as passengers who checked their train’s platform underground received no further updates once they reached the platform, even if there were last-minute changes.
New large-format displays on all five platforms
To address this shortcoming, new large-scale displays have now been installed at the end of all five platforms. As a result, passengers can now access up-to-date information directly from the platforms about trains departing from Kelenföld. The screens also indicate the specific platform sectors where passengers should wait to board their train, the CEO explained.
