MyCloset Budapest, fashion in the name of protecting the environment

The fashion industry has a disastrous impact on the environment but what do you do when you want to be fashionable and environmentally friendly? For instance, visit MyCloset Budapest, whose mission is to make every women feel beautiful for that special occasion.

Melanie Matolcsy grew up in NYC as a Hungarian-American citizen watching Sex and the City and loving fashion. She believes that when we’re able to wear what makes us feel beautiful, we can be our best selves. Yet we have challenges finding the perfect dress in Budapest  – we’ve spent a lot of time and money on our dresses, but never had what we wanted.

She decided to change that by building  “MyCloset”: a dream closet filled with selection of designer styles. Think of trend, color, prints, everything you’ve ever wanted to wear. 

As many of us know, the fashion industry has a disastrous impact on the environment. In fact, it is the second largest polluter in the world, just after the oil industry. And the environmental damage is increasing as the industry grows.
