Many people experience headaches. But every pain has its own characteristics. If you have foggy eyes, dizzy, nauseous, and unbearably throbbing, predominantly on one side of your head, this is most likely a migraine. Of course, the news is not a joyful one, but you need to be able to cope with it. We will tell you what the causes of migraines are and how to deal with them.

If untreated, migraine, unfortunately, can last from 4 hours to three days. Not everyone can live with such pain for a long time, but apart from fighting, there is nothing left.

What Happens In Migraine?

Each person has a migraine according to their own schedule; for someone once a month, and for someone once a week. During a migraine, you may feel:

  • Most often it is a throbbing pain on either side of the head
  • Sensitivity to light, sounds, sometimes to smells, and touch
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Blurred vision
  • Weakness and fainting occurs

Causes And Ways To Deal With Migraine

1- Stress

Perhaps the biggest culprit is stress. Research shows that 50-70% of people link daily stress and frequent migraine attacks. After a migraine, you start to worry that a new attack does not arise and thereby loop the situation. The more excitement in your life, the greater the risk of migraines become.

What To Do: Make a list of things, situations, people that can cause you stress and remove them from your life or keep them to a minimum. See a psychologist or therapist, try aromatherapy, meditation, yoga, etc. Of course, these strategies will not completely relieve you of stress, but they will help change the body’s response to stress. Thereby reducing the number of migraine attacks.

2- Poor Sleep

A good sleep renews, restores, and prepares our body for a new day. In this case, the migraine has no reason to appear. If we knock down the regime, anything can happen to our health, including migraines. What else should be noted when it comes to sleep? Nearly half of all migraine attacks occur between 4:00 am, and 9:00 am, which increases the risk of people developing sleep disorders.

What To Do:  If you are prone to headaches, go to bed at the same time every night, and sleep until 7-8 am. Do not watch TV before going to bed, do not use any gadgets, or listen to music with headphones.

3- Hormonal System

Unfair but true: women are three times more likely to experience migraines than men. And 75% of these women believe that migraines appear due to menstrual days. Fewer women have migraines during pregnancy or menopause. This is due to changes in the level of estrogen and progesterone.

What To Do: Here you need to go to a doctor (for example, a gynecologist) to explain the nature of your headache. Get tested and, perhaps, you will find the right treatment plan.

4- Coffee And Alcohol
