ISF World Schools Championship Cross Country 2016 – Photo gallery

In April, the International athletics movement is really active. After the Paris, London and Boston ‘Marathons, it was also the time for Budapest to host the most important gathering of young schools runners from all over the world. Indeed the International School Sport Federation (ISF) together with the Hungarian School Sport Federation (MDSZ) organised the Cross Country World Schools Championship from the 21th to the 26th of April 2016.
During this week, 400 young students came from 24 countries and had the chance to express their athletics skills around the track of Margaret Island while they discovered the city of Budapest through an innovative educative and cultural program. The participation of 40 young people with impairment from the Hungarian School and Leisure sport federation of disabled students contributed to raise awareness among the whole young participants regarding the role of sport promoting inclusion, well being, cultural and mutual – understanding.
The event welcomed the International School Sport President – Laurent Petrynka who expressed his pleasure to be present at the ISF Cross Country World Schools Championship 2016 to underlined the important role of the school sport for the education and the health of the students in the world.
