Hungary-Slovakia bridge over Danube inaugurated!

Europe is built in central Europe today, by Hungarians, Slovaks, Czechs and Poles, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said at the inauguration of a new bridge spanning the Danube between Hungary and Slovakia near Komárom, northern Hungary on Thursday.
At the event also attended by Slovak Prime Minister Igor Matovic, Orbán said building bridges was equivalent to building the future. States have to remain functional despite the coronavirus pandemic, he said.
“This inauguration shows that the Danube connects Hungarians and Slovaks rather than dividing them,” he said.
“History has shown that success comes to those that stand together and not opposite each other,” he said.
High-speed rail link next top Slovak-Hungarian transport project
The next most important joint Hungarian-Slovak transport project is the construction of a high-speed railway connecting Budapest, Bratislava and Warsaw, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said on Thursday.
The new rail line would reduce travel time between Budapest and Warsaw to five and a half hours from the current 11-12 hours while the trip from Budapest to Bratislava would be cut to an hour and a half, Szijjarto told reporters ahead of the inauguration of a new bridge spanning the Danube between Hungary and Slovakia near Komarom, northern Hungary.
