According to origo.hu, the Central Statistical Office’s time scale presents an average day in the lives of Hungarians by activities on a single diagram, which contains more than 166 thousand elements. The data for the spectacular diagram was submitted in 2009/2010.

The Central Statistical Office carried out a time scale recording, from the 1st of October 2009 until the 30th of September 2010, of the 10-84 years old population group living in private households. Similar records only have been made six times since 1963.

The horizontal line shows the average day of an individual chosen from the standard population by activities. The vertical line illustrates the rate of activities carried out in the given minute on an average day of the chosen standard population.

With these diagrams Hungary holds a leading place even on an international level regarding time scale records. The Central Statistical Office made 13 thousand time scale diaries.
