Hungarians are the most tolerant about corruption, says survey

According to the new survey of Eurobarometer, 69% of the citizens of the European Union find corruption unacceptable.

444 reported that Portugal residents find corruption the most unacceptable (88% of the nation) while in Hungary, it is only 38%. According to the results, seven out of ten EU countries reported that corruption is a major problem not just in the states but in general across the globe. 70% of the participants in the survey said that corruption can be found in institutions, and 53% said it about the programs of political parties. In Croatia, 97% of the answers said that corruption was widely present in the world, while in Finland, it was only 22%.

87% of Hungarians consider it a major problem, while only 1% of the nation believes that it has nothing to do with the state.

49% of Hungarians reported that corruption was strongly present among political parties, and 32% believes that the phenomenon influences their everyday lives. 45% do not report corruption to authorities once they have experienced it, mainly because it is hard to prove, and 25% of Hungarians believe that this matter deserves no attention.
