Hungarian flight attendants reveal how superstars travel in the air

The flights of VIP guests or international superstars always come with prestige and require careful organisation from airlines. Although the many peculiar and sometimes rude requests of superstars cause hardships for airline stewards and stewardesses, they always fulfil them in order not to lose the company’s reputation.

Femina reported that Szabolcs Kordos’s book, Airport Hungary, tells the stories of when Hungarian flight attendants served international superstars during their flights. Some of it went well and they could not wait to be close to the celebrity, but sometimes they had to bear unusual and rude requests as well.

Madonna

Before the arrival of international pop icon Madonna, the whole airline and the crew are well informed about the star’s requests and habits when she takes the plane. According to one Hungarian steward, the arrival of Madonna is only joyful for those who have never met her because those who have know that the singer is difficult to handle. 

The Hungarian man reported that Madonna treats the flight attendants as her servants, and they always need to be close to her anytime she asks something. One time, the singer became so angry she even threw a glass at one of the flight attendants.

Madonna is still welcomed, though, unlike supermodel Naomi Campbell, whose attitude was so controversial so many times that many airlines do not fly her anymore.
