Hungarian boutique hotel among the best in Europe for the third time

The Maison Bistro & Hotel has already won Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best award twice. Now, for the third time, this prestigious Hungarian boutique hotel is among Europe’s 25 best holiday accommodations.

Turizmusonline.hu spotted that the Maison Bistro & Hotel is ranked ninth in Tripadvisor’s recently published Travellers’ Choice Awards, ranking Small & Boutique hotels across Europe.

Maison Bistro & Hotel is a unique boutique hotel in the heart of Budapest

The hotel is located in the Buda Castle, near the Fisherman’s Bastion, under 17 Országház Street. The history of the building dates back to the 1400s when it housed a guild and later a bakery. In 1964, it was converted into a restaurant, preserving the Baroque form of the street front. Soon after, it became one of the most popular nightlife venues in Budapest, at the time called the Old Parliament House Restaurant.

In 2016, the former Spiegel House, which belongs to a Hungarian-American owner, opened its emblematic green gates: the Maison Bistro & Hotel was born. The boutique hotel combines the beauty of the historic site and Hungary’s gastronomic past with a sleek and modern design.
