The Hungarian National Gallery (in Hungarian: Magyar Nemzeti Galéria) collections cover Hungarian art in all genres, including the works of many nineteenth- and twentieth-century Hungarian artists who worked in Paris and other locations in the West. The museum is located in Buda Castle in Budapest.

TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS
Bacon, Freud and the Painting of the School of London
9 October 2018 – 13 January 2019
The new exhibition of the Hungarian National Gallery focuses on a defining trend of twentieth-century British figurative painting collectively referred to as the School of London. Visitors can see a rich selection of works by Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud, and other painters of the School of London, each artist represented by highlighted masterpieces. The exhibition was realised in cooperation with Tate Britain, London.
