Here are Budapest Airport’s tips for a seamless holiday!

Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport in the capital is by far the largest and most important airport in Hungary. With millions of visitors popping by every year, they have to be ready at all times for any unwelcome problems and complications. One such thing they can prepare, however, is the large influx of visitors in the summer period.

Especially for this reason, the airport has made preparations for the summer peak season. They are now awaiting visitors with an adequate number of staff and quality improvement initiatives. Furthermore, they have published a list of tips and upgrades that will make the experience even more enjoyable for travellers, writes Budapest Airport.

Baggage tips

They emphasise the option of online check-in and pre-booking parking spaces, which can save both time and money. Additionally, there are 26 self-service baggage drop-off machines available at the terminals, allowing passengers to print their luggage tags.

Passengers traveling with only carry-on baggage and those who have completed online check-in and possess a valid boarding pass can enter the terminal directly through the main entrance near the 100E bus stop, bypassing potential crowding in the departure hall. The waiting time for security checks can be monitored on multiple displays and the airport’s website.

Arrival and security check

In their statement, they advise passengers to arrive at the airport at least two and a half hours before their flight departure to avoid any turmoil. Furthermore, they ask travellers not to bring along company, if possible.
