The Guardian offers new ideas about where to travel in the winter. The list includes the Dolomites, the Arctic mountain tours, as well as skiing and Budapest.

Winter is slowly here. The Guardian has compiled a list of 10 destinations worth visiting. The list includes a number of different programs.

  • Cumbrian fondue by the slopes

You can see the variety of programs on the list. There is also a gastronomic program, a train tour, skiing, family programs, and sightseeing. The Guardian writes in detail about every place, recommending programs in the given location and how much the given program costs.

A visit to Budapest also made it to the winter top list.

Budapest is one of the best winter destinations

Budapest is beautiful in all seasons. It is also easily and inexpensively accessible by trains, buses, and planes. The Guardian has outlined a route plan in which you can travel from London via Brussels and Cologne to Vienna and Budapest. At each station, it is possible to see and walk around and learn about the local gastronomy. Starting in London with a few transfers, you can be in Budapest in a few days.

  1. The Guardian (which I read everyday) runs that same article almost word for word every year, just as the DNH has a few stock articles that it also runs very year. In fact I would not be surprised if this article by the DNH is a re-run of one it published last year at around about the same time.
