German far-right: Only Orbán can block Ukraine’s EU entry
Viktor Orbán is the only guarantee that Ukraine will not be admitted to the European Union, because the country fails to meet even the most basic accession criteria – including corruption standards – according to Alice Weidel, co-leader of Alternative für Deutschland (AfD).
Speaking in an interview on the programme MAXIMA with the editor-in-chief of Mandiner, Weidel argued that Ukraine’s economic performance and its political system make it unfit for EU membership.
She described the country as a “disordered and completely dysfunctional state” and said it should never be allowed into the bloc. According to her, countries such as Montenegro or Serbia would be far more suitable candidates, suggesting that Brussels had effectively “mixed them up” with Ukraine. She also stressed that Ukraine should not join NATO either.
‘Europe needs peace, not escalation’
Weidel said the AfD, similarly to Hungary’s governing parties, prioritises peace in Europe and believes dialogue must be maintained with both sides of the war. She criticised Berlin’s foreign policy, asking how Germany could afford to have poor relations simultaneously with the United States, China and Russia.
She called current European leadership “incredibly damaging”, warning that their actions were breaking so much “porcelain” that political processes could spiral out of control.

By obdurately labeling AfD as “far Right,” you not only betray your biases and damage your credibility, but you look simply ridiculous.
AfD is a mainstream political party espousing social and fiscal conservatism, economic nationalism, and national sovereignty. There is nothing “far right” about that by any definition except the modern Leftist (globalist-socialist-fascist) playbook of character assassination.
