Friendly faces at the Azerbaijani-Hungarian Youth Union’ integration event

The Azerbaijani-Hungarian Youth Union (AHYU) organized the 3-day event “Integration of Azerbaijani people living in Hungary into the community” for Azerbaijanis living in different parts of Hungary (mainly Budapest, Debrecen, Szeged, Pécs, Dunaújváros, Miskolc and Gödöllő). The event was organized in 4 different locations across Budapest in June 1-3 and total more than 60 participants directly benefited from this event.
The opening ceremony was held in Gellért Hotel, Vilayat Guliyev, Azerbaijani ambassador in Hungary, Ibrahim Safarli, the Chairman of AHYU greeted participants who are mainly students, young businessmen or employees in big multinational companies. Orsolya Bogdán and László Róbel, the Head of the Unit for Special Cases from the Immigration and Asylum Office made a joint presentation regarding different residence permit types and application processes. Later Barbara Ürögdi, Mo Shaban and Dorka Szabó, the immigration consultants from Helpers elaborated about the specific residence permit options for non-EU citizens in Hungary and answered the questions raised by the participants.
During the second part of the first day, the participants visited the Regional Office of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent where Simon Missiri, Regional Director and Elkhan Rahimov, the Deputy Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia delivered inspiring speeches to encourage the participants to pursue their career in different international organizations.
The next session was about the taxation policy in Hungary, general taxation principles and rules – it was presented by the experienced tax advisor and accountant Katalin Ragó.
