Explore the Silk Road on two wheels – motorcycle tour to China

A unique motorcycle tour symbolizing strong Hungarian – Chinese economic and cultural relations kicked off on last Saturday in Budapest. Two bikers, dr. Ádám Gbúr and businessman Li Yude have decided to travel along the old Silk Road with motorbikes and complete the trip in three month; the undertaking is also a Guinness World Record Attempt, hungarianambiance.com reports.
The official kick-off ceremony has been attended by the Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy Guo Xiaoguang and the Head of Economic and Foreign Affairs Department responsible for Chinese relations Márton Ujvári.
The two politicians emphasized that bilateral relations between the two countries developing rapidly and across the entire spectrum; they expressed their hopes that the trip will further entrench Hungarian – Chinese economic and cultural relations in the coming years. The two politicians stressed that the Hungarian government’s eastern partnership policy and China’s “One Belt One Road” initiative carry huge potential for the future.

Dr. Ádám Gbúr teaches Chinese language at Budapest University of Economics; he is the head of the University’s Eastern Languages Department responsible for the Chinese Section; he is an avid supporter of Chinese culture and Chinese-Hungarian friendship. Gbúr has been studying Chinese culture and philosophy for fifteen years.
