Encountering the prime minister in the most peculiar spot

Have you ever heard about Samoa? Well, according to 24.hu, it is an archipelago found in the Pacific Ocean with a population of 190 thousand people. One of 24.hu’s readers was surprised to encounter an article about Viktor Orbán in the local newspaper.

Most of us would probably have a hard time trying to locate Samoa on a blind map or trying to guess who the prime minister is (Tuilaepa Aiono Sailele Malielegaoi since 1998). Encountering the scandalous happenings of the Samoan political life in the Hungarian news is quite a rare phenomenon.

Knowing this, the featured image of this article, sent to 24.hu by a surprised reader living in Samoa, is quite interesting.

It depicts one of the pages of the daily Samoa Observer’s Wednesday issue. It is the biggest newspaper in Samoa, which published a half-column article about how Viktor Orbán’s government took hold of the county papers (as well).
