Currently 42 international police officers support Hungarian efforts

In response to an inquiry by Hungrian news agency MTI the National Police Headquarters (ORFK) announced that currently, 42 guest officers support the efforts of Hungarian police officers to step up against illegal migration.

MTI contacted ORFK, because German magazine Bild wrote about the arrival of German police officers in Hungary.

In its statement, the National Police Headquarters wrote that as part of the so called “flexible” operational activities that are organised on the Hungarian-Serbian border by the European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of the Member States of the European Union (Frontex), in the second half of August, a number of German guest officers will indeed arrive in Hungary, and will be deployed here for a month. The exact number of the contingent is yet unknown. Currently, two German officers are on duty n Hungary.
