Budapest party tram service changes from weekend

Due to track maintenance starting this Saturday, the popular Budapest party tram nr 4-6 will commute differently, and replacement buses will carry the passengers in some segments. But the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) recommends alternatives for those who would not like to travel by tram.

According to hirado.hu, people may use replacement buses between 13 and 20 July, between the Oktogon and the Harminckettesek tere tram stations. Those travelling between the Nyugati railway station and the Corvin District can use metro line M3. If you come downtown from the Széll Kálmán Square, you may catch metro line M2. From Óbuda (3rd district), you may travel by trams 19 and 41 and transfer to metro line M2.

The track maintenance work will happen in Blaha Lujza Square, Margaret Bridge, and Podmaniczky Street.
