Best places to eat delicious food near Lake Balaton during winter

Many restaurants are open during the whole year, not only in the summer season, and szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu collected the best of them near the Badacsony, a famous wine region of Hungary.

Gasztrohegy is a brand new initiative near Lake Balaton and aims to provide culinary enjoyment for those who would like to visit Badacsony hill even during winter. According to szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu, the organisers who chose hunting as the theme of this year’s event were successful. There were a lot of tourists, so

they are going to repeat the program in February,

during which dishes made of pork will be on the tables.

All of the 10 restaurants taking part in the program were very good, and the journalists of the Hungarian news portal say that there were none where they would not like to return. They say that the menus the restaurants put together would be suitable even in city restaurants or abroad.

Tilia – A Badacsonyi Borvendéglő

The restaurant was recently renewed, so they await visitors with modern but elegant rooms and delicious meals. The restaurant is in the cellar, but the design is so calming and cosy that no one would notice that.

Laposa Birtok

Famous for their enchanting wines, the restaurant of the Lapos Estate offers delicious food as well.

Pláne Badacsony Borterasz

According to szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu, the place is so cool that one can hardly find words for it. The building is like a special hobbit house from The Lord of the Rings with fantastic wines and flavoursome food.

Hotel Bonvino Wine & Spa

They spent two nights in the hotel, but it was not enough. They have a perfect wellness section, modern and comfortable rooms, and the dishes they offer in the restaurant are unbelievably tasty.

Borbarátok Vendéglő

The staff is friendly, the portions are brutal, and the dishes are more and more sophisticated and interesting, says szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu. The restaurant preserved a lot of things from the past but is open for the modernities as well.

There are extremely comfortable beds and the best breakfast. Being there is like being home and spending a romantic night with somebody.

The quality of the service is exceptional in the restaurant, the terrace is huge, and the panorama is breathtaking.

The restaurant is in the centre of Badacsonytomaj, and it is the most modern place in the village right now. They know everything that a Budapest downtown restaurant knows, and those who take a seat here can take an insight into how the Laposa wines are being made.
