The Hungarian National Museum

This museum that is the biggest in Hungary operates in a remarkable neoclassicist building in the city centre. Here, visitors can get to know the Hungarian culture from the beginnings: from the Palaeolithic through the Ottoman invasion to the communism in the 20th century. The Hungarian Natural History Museum

The mission of this museum is to let visitors get closer to flora and fauna in Hungary. The collection displayed here includes an unbelievable ten million objects. There are permanent and temporary exhibitions as well. Furthermore, guided tours offer a deeper understanding of this topic. The museum offers interactive exhibits, games and many programmes for all age groups.

The Museum of Ethnography

Visitors can take a closer look at the Hungarian culture, traditions, handmade works, and artefacts here. The museum has many exhibitions; this is why you should check out the website. Unfortunately, the museum is closed until 2020 due to renovation.

The Aquincum Museum and Archeological Park

In the Roman Empire’s times, Hungary was part of the Pannonian province, and the city of Aquincum was built that time. Today, permanent exhibitions introduce the artefacts found here during the excavations. Additionally, visitors can get to know more about the Roman times as well.

The Pinball Museum

This is Europe’s biggest slot machine museum, and it has an interactive pinball exhibition. There are 130 machines from the 19th century to up until today so visitors can keep track of the pinball machine evolution. The museum operates since 2013, but it already has big success.
