Tragedy: Award-winning Hungarian photojournalist dies aged 37

Hungarian photojournalist Sándor Csudai has died after being found early on Saturday morning near the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest’s Városliget, Hungarian media reported. He was 37 years old.

According to information published by Telex, Csudai was discovered at the site in the early hours of Saturday, 20 December. The National Ambulance Service confirmed that emergency responders were only able to establish the fact of death upon arrival.

“At the scene, our colleagues confirmed the death of a man around forty years of age,” the service told the outlet.

Fall from museum roof reported

Based on the information available so far, Csudai is believed to have fallen from the roof of the Museum of Ethnography building, located in Budapest’s City Park. The circumstances of the incident have not been publicly detailed further.

The news of his death was first confirmed publicly by Gábor Lantos, a Hungarian sports journalist, who shared the information on Facebook.
