Study in Venice: Top Italian university offers EUR 10,000-a-year scholarships for Hungarian and international students!

Hungarian students considering studying abroad now have a new opportunity in Italy, as the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice has announced a generous merit-based scholarship programme for the 2026/2027 academic year.

In cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Hungary, the university is encouraging high-achieving international applicants – including those from Hungary – to apply for financial support worth approximately EUR 10,000 per year.

The initiative aims to attract talented students from around the world to study in Venice, one of Europe’s most historic and culturally rich academic destinations.

28 scholarships for bachelor’s and master’s students

Ca’ Foscari will award a total of 28 honours scholarships to new students enrolling in degree programmes taught in either Italian or English.

The funding structure is designed to support students for the full length of their studies:

  • 8 scholarships for bachelor’s students, worth EUR 10,000 annually for three years
  • 20 scholarships for master’s students, worth EUR 10,000 annually for two years

The grants are renewable each year, provided students maintain strong academic performance.

Who can apply?

Applicants must hold a qualification that allows them to enter an Italian university bachelor’s or master’s programme. Degrees can be obtained either outside Italy or from an Italian institution located abroad. Notably, there are no nationality restrictions, meaning Hungarian students are fully eligible.
