Wizz Air launches late-night luggage drop to speed up early departures

Wizz Air passengers flying from London Luton Airport can now drop off checked luggage the night before departure, a move designed to make early-morning travel quicker and less stressful. The airline launched the new “twilight” bag drop service on Monday, 16 February.

Wizz Air service aims to ease early starts

The twilight bag drop will run daily between 9pm and 2am at London Luton Airport. It is available to passengers who are flying the next morning on services departing at 9am or earlier, allowing travellers to arrive at the airport with one less task to handle before security.

London Luton Airport said the new option is intended to streamline the start of a journey, particularly for people facing a very early wake-up.

Clare Armstrong, head of guest experience at London Luton Airport, said the launch of another twilight check-in service will help even more passengers begin their trips “in the swiftest and simplest” way. She added that the change forms part of ongoing investment in passenger facilities, new retail and dining options, and improved customer satisfaction results.
