Leaked document shows how PM Orbán would like to win in 2026 with digital warriors, Tisza’s Péter Magyar says

Change language:
Tisza Party leader Péter Magyar posted a document on Facebook on Tuesday, claiming it to be the minutes of a closed-door meeting attended by Antal Rogan, the head of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office.
Digital warriors
Magyar insisted the document confirmed suspicions in opposition circles that “the president of the republic is no more than a puppet” and the date of the general election would be set by the ruling Fidesz party’s campaign manager. The Tisza leader referred to the government’s “digital warriors and mercenaries” paid to fight the election because, he said, the government itself was unable to campaign effectively on its record.
Magyar said the document also revealed that Fidesz campaigners “envied” the thousands of grassroots Tisza Sziget groups around the country, and Fidesz now planned to centrally revive its so-called civic circles, a similar grassroots initiative. He said it was clear from the document that members of the Prime Minister’s Office, whom he likened to “mafiosos”, were “waiting for a regime change” and they had leaked the information to Tisza.
Another Peace March will be organized
The document refers to the cabinet’s away-day “Kötcse picnic” being held on Sept 7, the autumn session of parliament starting on Sept 22, a “Fight Club” event being held on Sept 21 in the Papp László Sports Arena and a Peace March organised for Oct 23. Also, the general election is slated for the second half of April next year, according to the document cited by Magyar.
