Good news: MVM group puts new turbine online, Jysk expands logistics base – PHOTOS

MVM Balance, a member of state-owned energy group MVM, put a new 22.6 MW turbine online at its thermal power station in the north of Budapest on Wednesday.

The turbine will supply district heating to almost 30,000 households, MVM Balance CEO Sándor Csorba said. The turbine was installed in cooperation with American, Swiss and Hungarian companies, he added.

Attila Steiner, the state secretary for energy, highlighted the construction of three new gas-fueled power plants in the east of Hungary.

JYSK expands service area of logistics base in Hungary

JYSK has expanded the service area of its logistics base on the outskirts of Budapest to seven countries, the Danish home furnishings company said on Wednesday.The distribution centre, completed in 2022, now serves Austria, in addition to Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. Close to 390 people work at the base in Ecser.
