These positions are attractive due to relatively competitive salaries ranging from EUR 700 to EUR 1,000 per month, Gulf News reports. Such wages are appealing to many Filipinos seeking better economic opportunities abroad.

Growing demand for Filipino workers

The demand for Filipino workers in Hungary has seen a significant surge. Over a year, the number of Filipino guest workers in Hungary has increased nearly sixfold, Népszava wrote based on Portfolio’s report back in April 2024. This rapid growth highlights the importance of the Philippines as a source of skilled and unskilled labor for Hungarian industries. The job fair in Manila, which quickly filled available positions by the weekend, demonstrates the strong interest among Filipinos in working in Hungary.
