According to 24.hu, the Ilona Valley Waterfall of Heves County in Hungary, cascading down from ten-meter tall andesite gorges, is the largest of its kind in Hungary.

The natural wonder, located south of Parádfürdő, flows abundantly in spring, making it a favourite destination among nature enthusiasts. But the captivating sight is also worth visiting in winter, especially when temperatures consistently drop below freezing point. Then, the waterfall gradually freezes, creating a true spectacle for a longer or shorter period, and that is exactly what happened on Saturday. Visitors will be able to see it for a couple more days, so you should hurry up if you don’t want to miss it.
