Beware! Budapest Airport shuttle service changes from today!

Change language:

The Budapest airport shuttle service is changing today due to the revamp of the junction of the M4 motorway and the Budapest Airport expressway.

Travelling to Budapest Airport will be different

We wrote HERE that the fourth phase of the city centre–airport expressway’s reconstruction started on 22 April. As a result, cars coming from Budapest will only be able to use one lane instead of two in the junction connecting the airport with the M4 motorway. Furthermore, the roadwork will seriously affect the route of the 100E and 200E airport shuttles from today.

According to the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK), the slip road of the Budapest Airport will be closed between 27 and 30 April. Therefore, airport shuttles will commute on a modified route.

The closure started at 7 AM today and is planned to end at 7 PM. Authorities redirect traffic to the slip road of the M4 Üllő/M0 junction, and you may travel to Budapest by turning back at the 3101 junction (Vecsés-Ecser).

Airport shuttles 100E and 200E will stop at Vecsés, Market Central Ferihegy station, instead of Vecsés, Nyugat during the roadworks.
