Moroccan Humanitarian aid to the palestinian population

Change language:
The Kingdom of Morocco, under the high instructions of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, has deployed a humanitarian food aid operation for the Palestinian population in Gaza and the Holy City of Al Quds.
This aid, which coincides with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, aims to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian populations, notably their most vulnerable sections. It is made up of over 40 tons of foodstuffs, including basic foodstuffs.
Besides the institutional aid, deployed notably through the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, the King Mohammed VI, has covered, a large part of the dispatched aid, particularly the aid delivered to babies and young children, from the Sovereign’s personal funds.
The Moroccan aid was transported by Moroccan planes to Tel Aviv and was dispatched to Gaza by direct land route.
Since the outbreak of armed hostilities more than five months ago, Morocco is the first country to dispatch, through this unprecedented land route, its humanitarian aid which will be delivered directly to recipient populations.
Morocco did not opt for dropping aid, due to its lack of effectiveness, the risk of the destruction of food, and also in order to avoid causing victims with the fall of cargo and to respect the dignity of the population.
