Budapest downtown beer festival kicks off!

The festival will offer 250 beer specialities produced by Hungarian and international makers. The event will start on 29 August and will end on 3 September. The festival’s top supporter is Spar Magyarország.

According to Blikk, a Hungarian tabloid, the festival’s venue will be Budapest’s illustrious Szabadság Square, which is located close to the Danube River and the Hungarian Parliament. Apart from the more than 250 types of beers, there will a mouthwatering array of street food. Furthermore, there will be concerts and DJ sets. You don’t have a date yet to the festival? The organisers said they would bring the most well-known English beermakers to Budapest. Moreover, you can also relish a number of exceptional flavoured Hungarian beers, along with several other kinds of IPA beers. The organisers also came up with the festival’s official beer based on social media votes. Needless to say, you will be able to taste that, too.

The beer cup is the entrance fee to the festival

The 2023 winner of the “beer of the festival” title was based on a sabro-mosaic-amarillo hop combination. Its name is Festival Hippie, it is an IPA and its alcohol content is 5.6% . It comes with a tropical note.
