The MAHART Budapest Circle Cruise is another great way to discover the heart of Budapest this year. From Tuesday to Friday, you can board the boat free of charge with a monthly BKK season ticket or a longer season ticket.

On Tuesday 2 May, the Budapest Circle Cruise will be relaunched on the Danube in the capital. The boats will depart from Vigadó Square station, stop at the Academy Harbour, then pass by the Buda side of Margaret Island and continue along Battyhány Square to the National Theatre, where they will turn around and return to Vigadó Square, bkk.hu reports.

The boat service runs every two hours from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The last service returns to Vigadó Square at 8:15 PM. On Mondays, the boat service is suspended.

Ticket purchase information

From Tuesday to Friday, you can board the service free of charge with a valid BKK monthly season ticket or a season ticket with a longer validity. You can also travel with a paper Budapest pass or even with a digital pass purchased on BudapestGO. 1. Wonderful News.
Previously used this forum expressing the WRONGNESS that we no longer – principally through the City of Budapest, the Lord Mayors Office – there inability to “support” or find funding – for our Public Danube river boat services.
The tenders would have BEEN there to re-introduce the Public Service of our riverboats that we had and ALL enjoyed tourists and Hungarians – prior to February 2020, the arrival of the Coronavirus pandemic, but the stumbling block – keeps coming back returning to the City of Budapest – the Mayors Office.
The river boats – SCUTTLED – by the Major of Budapest.
It was his PEN – that “signed” there scuttling.

News of the return of this service from OUR port or place of embarkation – Vigado ter, delights us, as it will other locals and MILLIONS into the Future visiting Budapest.

Exemption from fares 14 years and under and over 65 years of age – needs to be SERIOUSLY re-examined.
Do an investigation into other Major Cities in Europe and the EXEMPTION factor on the age group referred in 90% of my knowledge and inquiry do EXEMPY.

People with DISABILITIES – there will be and we should encourage them, in wheel-chairs or “other” aides of MOBILITY – should be Exempt.
