Budapest’s newest bridge will be built between Csepel Island (the 21st district of Budapest) and the 22nd district of the capital. The Galvani bridge’s construction process reached a new milestone yesterday since the archway got its legally binding building permit.

The planning process of the new bridge of South Budapest started back in 2018 and was finished yesterday, according to Balázs Fürjes, the government commissioner of major investments in Budapest. Mr Fürjes wrote that the new bridge would reduce the traffic burden of the downtown bridges. Moreover, it will connect the Southern regions of Budapest.
